A devastating fire broke out at the Kantamanto Railway Market in Accra during the early hours of today.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded promptly by deploying 13 fire tenders from various fire stations across Accra to combat the blaze.
Firefighters worked tirelessly for over two hours to extinguish a significant portion of the fire, preventing further destruction.
The swift response from the GNFS helped contain the fire, although the damage has yet to be fully assessed.
Many traders were seen at the scene lamenting their losses, as the market serves as a livelihood hub for thousands of people.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. Officials have indicated that investigations are underway to determine its source.
Traders and market authorities are also engaged in providing any information that could aid in the investigation.
